Why does Shakeology include fructose?

Fructose is included in Shakeology to give the great taste and well-rounded/balanced macro-nutrients profile. A great thing about fructose over sucrose (table sugar) or high fructose (chemically altered sugar) is that fructose has a low glycemic index which means your body sends is directly to your liver for processing; this greatly reduces the impact on your blood sugar/ insulin levels. The fructose found in Shakeology is from non-GMO (not genetically modified) which are processed cleanly in GMP-certified (Good Manufacturing Practice) facilities.

Does Shakeology contain caffeine?

NO! Cooking or heating Shakeology will destroy many of the nutrients and create an imbalance. You should always drink Shakeology at room temp. or cooler.

While drinking Shakeology prior to working out is better than eating a full meal you may want to consider something with more sugars and less fibers.
